Privacy Policy

Atlanta World Cup Guide ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you visit atlantaworldcupguide.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
We do not require you to create an account to use this site. The data we collect is limited to:
- Email addresses you submit voluntarily — if you sign up for our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide. We use it only to send you our newsletter and the Atlanta World Cup Survival Guide PDF. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with anyone. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter, or by emailing hello@atlantaworldcupguide.com.
- Analytics data via Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage information such as pages viewed, time on site, browser type, device type, approximate location (city/region level), and how you arrived at the site (referrer). Loaded only after you accept analytics cookies.
- Cookies — small text files placed by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors. We do not use cookies for advertising on this site.
- Server logs — our hosting provider (GoDaddy) records standard request data including IP address, request time, and user agent for security and reliability.
How we use the data
- To understand which pages and topics are most useful to visitors.
- To diagnose technical issues and improve performance.
- To detect abuse or unusual traffic patterns.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies and your choices
On your first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded and no cookies are set by us. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site's cookies in your browser, which will trigger the consent banner again.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics — see Google's privacy policy.
- Email service provider — we use a third-party service to send our newsletter. Your email address is stored with that provider for the sole purpose of delivering the newsletter you signed up for. The current provider may change as we evolve the site; the most recent provider is listed in our newsletter footer.
- Adobe Fonts (Typekit) — used to serve display fonts. See Adobe's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — used for the cursive display typeface. See Google's privacy policy.
If we add affiliate links (e.g., to hotel booking sites) in the future, those services may set their own cookies when you click through. We will disclose any affiliate relationships clearly.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your rights (EU/UK/California visitors)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA, including:
- The right to know what data we collect.
- The right to request deletion of any personal data.
- The right to opt out of analytics tracking.
